Residential Energy Audit Rebates
Tired of those drafty windows? Is your home never warm in the winter? Do you have to stand in front of the freezer to find relief from the summer heat? Increase comfort in your home with energy efficiency rebates offered through the Residential Energy Audit.
The Residential Energy Audit Program provides rebates for installation of energy-saving improvements to Pennsylvania residential customers of Met-Ed, Penelec, Penn Power and West Penn Power. The diagnostic audits and installation of energy-saving products must be completed by a participating contractor and must meet all program requirements. Once you complete a Residential Energy Audit, the auditor will provide you with a comprehensive report, review the findings and provide a list of recommended upgrades you can make to increase your home’s energy efficiency. You decide which upgrades to implement. The more kilowatt-hour (kWh) savings you achieve by making these upgrades, the more rebates you may earn.
Home improvement upgrades that qualify for a rebate include:
- Wall insulation
- Attic insulation
- ENERGY STAR® certified window replacements
- Air sealing
- Duct sealing
